When the Seiser Alm is blanketed in a thick layer of snow, the area around the Hotel Bellavista is transformed into a paradise for winter sports enthusiasts and nature lovers. In winter, the sunny plains and gentle slopes of the Seiser Alm are ideal for cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and tobogganing – and, of course, downhill skiing. Powder snow and perfectly groomed slopes are the hallmarks of the ski area. As well as the slopes, the nearest cross-country trails are just a few steps away from our hotel.
If, during your winter holiday on the Seiser Alm, you fancy a change from skiing or cross-country skiing, you can explore the small centre of Compatsch, do a few laps on the ice rink or take a horse-drawn carriage ride through the magical winter wonderland.
Snow fun Skiing on the Seiser Alm
The Seiser Alm ski area is part of the Dolomiti Superski network and delights visitors with perfectly groomed slopes, modern lifts and magnificent views of the Dolomites. Here, the winter season usually runs from December to April. This gives skiing enthusiasts plenty of time to explore the varied slopes across all levels of difficulty. With a total of over 180 kilometres of slopes in the Seiser Alm/Gröden ski area, the choice is vast. Thanks to the Hotel Bellavista’s location, you can start your day’s skiing right in the heart of the ski area without any long journeys.

Even away from the ski slopes, the Seiser Alm offers a wide range of ways to enjoy winter. Kilometres of cross-country trails lead through the snow-covered high alpine pastures, offering views of the surrounding Dolomite peaks. Similarly, toboggan runs with panoramic views, as well as snowshoe and winter hiking trails, invite you to explore the tranquil winter landscape at your own pace and experience the special atmosphere of Europe’s largest high alpine pasture.
