Snow fun – skiing, cross-country skiing & snowshoe hiking

Even though it is covered by a thick layer of snow, Europe’s highest pasture is one of the most impressive landscapes in the Dolomites. The sunny plains and soft hills of Seiser Alm are ideal for cross-country skiing, snowshoe hiking and tobogganing in winter – and of course for skiing. Powder snow and perfectly prepared ski runs feature the ski resort and our hotel Bellavista lies right in the midst! Not only ski runs, but also the next cross-country ski runs are located only a few steps from our house. If you would like to do other activities, you can explore the small centre of Compatsch, go ice-skating or driving across the winter wonderland on a horse sleigh. All of this with bright sunshine most of the time from morning to night, and a scenery, uniting sparkling snow, a clear blue sky and the impressive peaks of the Dolomites.

Skiing on Seiser Alm

Due to its altitude, Seiser Alm ski area is one of the best ski resorts in South Tyrol in terms of snow conditions. Here, the winter season generally lasts from December until April. In fact, ski fans will have enough time to explore the varied ski runs with any degree of difficulty. With 60 km of slopes right on Seiser Alm and 175 km of ski runs together with the neighbouring Gröden ski area, the range of possibilities is really vast. Thanks to the vastness of the ski area, the waiting times at the ski lifts are not very long neither.

Adventure ski runs, time measurement facilities and ski day tours guarantee even more variety. Not to forget about the multiply awarded Seiser Alm Snow Park. It ranks among the best in Italy and offers everything snowboarders and freestylers are searching for.

Cross-country skiing, tobogganing & more

The sunny winter days on Seiser Alm are not only ideal for skiing. In fact, there are numerous possibilities in the surroundings of our Hotel Bellavista in order to explore the magnificent mountain world also off the ski runs. If you prefer Nordic skiing, you are offered about 80 km of cross-country ski trails at an altitude between 1,800 and 2,200 m. Skating experts or fans of classic style: here, everyone will find his perfect ski trail.

Winter hiking paths are winding right across the high-alpine pasture and are daily prepared. Toboggan runs with panoramic views and snowshoeing tours lead through the snowy winter landscape and to the most beautiful viewpoints too.
