Hosts & history

From a small B&B to a well-kept hotel

Care and attention to detail. Hospitality that comes from the heart. Passion for the own work, grown from generation to generation. This is what has been characterising our Bellavista since its beginnings in the 1950s. At that time, the Tröbinger family opened a small B&B in Compatsch on Seiser Alm. This was followed by several renovations, until my father Eduard Tröbinger gave the permission to tear down the major part of the inn in 1985, rebuilding it entirely. The original 36 guest rooms have become 21 new guest rooms, each of them with a bathroom. On the ground floor, there is the Restaurant “Royalstube”.

Me, Hannes Tröbinger Scherlin, son of the house, took over the company and began with a great rebuilding in 2007. Since it has been reopened as a hotel, the Bellavista has 28 cosy guest rooms. Since then, we have been continually engaging in expanding the comfort of our hotel as well as our service and in offering always something new for our guests. At the same time, we give great importance to combine the new with the old, in order to preserve the original spirit of Bellavista.
